The First float can be the hardest float?

It may take a few minutes to acclimate to a stress free environment. Your mind may chatter endlessly. It will be enormously peaceful and even boring. It doesn't matter, the experience will still take place.

Relaxing brain?

Time in sensory isolation is what allows the mind to rest. The brain will relax and it’s a good time for meditation. The more motionless you are in the tank the more will the body’s awareness disappear. The brain is not used to total sensory reduction so the mind tries to control three-dimensional reality. Since there is no sound, the mind will look for sound and amplify whatever it hears (heartbeat, breathing).
